Check out phpFormGenerator at http://phpformgen.sourceforge.net/

It is FREE and one of the best form generators I've seen. Easily configurable and virtually limitless on the types of forms you can generate on the fly.

Open Source Applications

Postby poppafrog » Tue Jan 14, 2003 8:56 am

Just a note to those who may be interested in open source programming.

http://sourceforge.net has a multitude of great PHP apps and the cost is reasonable.

FREE

The site has all apps categorized in to beta, secure, final, etc... so you can be sure to get secure applications you won't have to re-write.

The best part about open source, is your ability to upgrade the apps yourself, (for those who don't know)

Just thought I would place a link to sourceforge as a general interest link.

Poppa,
Where were you before I spent the 100.00 on two scripts?

So sorry for not participating in the forum sooner.

When Charles first told me about the forum I was piddling around with other things and failed to join in. Won't happen again. :D

I agree http://sourceforge.net is great, almost every script is top quality. The only small issue is they all seem to be tech orintated and for the learner they can be a little over whelming.(not sure if over whelming is one word or two)

I think there is something to be said for scripts that make everything reeeeeeally easy.

Personly I like to let the makers of the script set evertything up then again you can and I usually do go broke from doing this :?

Open Source

Postby poppafrog » Thu Jan 16, 2003 8:27 am

I have come to look at only the "Final" apps at http://sourceforge.net and only ones that show in the description as having been written for "enduser/administrator" level for a desktop and not web server.

The enduser apps are generally less complicated for most.

Reason is. when I first started using open source apps, I used a beta version of an app and found myself sucking bandwidth from the planets core before I knew what hit me.

Although there are some really great apps, I am now very careful. :)
